In this article, we will share a script that will help you collect cookies automatically from the target websites, ensuring a proper work with cookie consent. You can use it with quick browser profiles as well as with existing browser profiles.
Before you begin
You can run a guided mode – it will prompt you what you need to start:
python main.py --guided
Below are the instructions for a non-guided mode.
- Start your Multilogin X agent
On Windows
Run the following command:
Start-Process -FilePath "~/AppData/Local/Multilogin X/agent.exe"
On macOS
Use the following command:
open -a "Multilogin X"
On Linux
Use the following command:
/opt/mlx/agent.bin
Or simply:
mlx
- Edit the .env file
MLX_EMAIL=yourmultiloginaccount@domain.com
MLX_PASSWORD=SuperSecretPassword
PROFILE_TYPE=quick
PROFILE_ID=
FOLDER_ID=
BROWSER_TYPE=stealthfox
- Edit the websites list
You need to tell the script where to collect the cookies from. Edit the websites
array in the cookie_robot.py file.
# This is an example. Add as many as you want. If you want to, you can even remove this array here and add another
# method of reading the list of websites, such as by using a spreadsheet, for example.
websites = ["https://wikipedia.org/",
"https://multilogin.com/"
"https://dell.com/",
"https://reddit.com/",
"https://youtube.com/"]
Running the script
In your terminal, run the script with Python:
python cookie_robot.py
Or, if you're using Python3 Interpreter:
python3 cookie_robot.py
